Secure Our Schools

As a community, we all share the same goal of creating safe and supportive schools where every student has the opportunity to learn and succeed. 

As a member of the Denton ISD school board, I will work to strengthen partnerships between parents, teachers, administrators, and the school safety teams to create a structured system in the form of a discipline flowchart that implements restorative practices while also outlining clear, fair, and consistent consequences for all students.

This flowchart wouldn’t just be a set of rules. It would be a tool used to help parents, teachers, and students understand exactly what to expect when inappropriate behavior occurs. 

It would create transparency while also allowing the board to analyze discipline data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to ensure our policies work consistently for all students in a system that is truly fair and unbiased. 

Discipline should not be about exclusion—it should be about growth, accountability, and opportunity.

So, it’s time for a new approach. A data-driven approach, where together, we can create a system that supports every student while keeping our schools safe and secure.
